BAKSOS PEDULI LOMBOK/LOMBOK COMMUNITY SERVICE 22nd-24th of SEPTEMBER 2018

On the 22nd – 24th of September, SLK Bali once again initiated another trip to Lombok to conduct community service. The internal school team was composed of Ms Arin, Mr Gayus and some Lollypop teachers namely, Ms. Claudy, Ms. Cristy and Ms. Ida. The team members volunteered to go and render community service to Lombok. They stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights. In those 3 days, in coordination with Endri’s Foundation (EF) Lombok Team, they visited 6 different evacuation camps around Lombok Utara to do Trauma Healing activities. The teachers conducted several fun activities with the children at the evacuation camps.

The 6 camps located in the different villages in Lombok Utara that they have visited were
1. Dusun Batu Ampar Desa Sokong Kec.Tanjung Kab.KLU
2. Desa Pekatan Kec.Tanjung KLU
3. Dusun Sembaru Desa Persiapan Segera Katun Kec. Gangga KLU
4. Lembah Berora Desa Selengan Kec.Kayangan KLU
5. Dusun Loloan Desa Loloan Kec.Bayan KLU
6. SDN 4 Tamansari Dusun Bat Kokoq Desa Tamansari Kec.Gunungsari KLU

The volunteer team from SLK and LLP also distributed 300 packages of school supplies and snacks to the children in the camps that they have visited. The snacks and school supplies brought from Bali were donated by our parents.

Most of the public facilities in North Lombok were damaged by the earthquake. The people, especially the children over there are still traumatized due to the continuing tremors in Lombok. Let us pray that Lombok will recover soon so that the children can go back to school and live normally once more.
