Brilliance Award

The Brilliance Scholarship is designed to recognize and reward outstanding students who have excelled in international and national academic competitions. This policy outlines the eligibility criteria and benefits associated with the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

Gold Level

To qualify for the Gold Level of the Brilliance Award Scholarship, a student must meet the following conditions:

  •  Achieve 1st – 3rd place in the final round of at least 3 national or international academic competitions.

Benefits for Gold Level Recipients:

  • A 20% deduction on the school fee for the following academic year.

Conditions:

Silver Level

To qualify for the Silver Level of the Brilliance Award Scholarship, a student must meet the following conditions:

  • Achieve 4th – 5th place or Honorable mentions in the final round of at least 3 national or international academic competitions.

Benefits for Silver Level Recipients:

  • A 10% deduction on the school fee for the following academic year.

Bronze Level

To qualify for the Bronze Level of the Brilliance Award Scholarship, a student must meet the following conditions:

  • Achieve 1st to 3rd place in the final round of at least 3 interschool or regional academic competitions.

Benefits for Bronze Level Recipients:

  • A 5% deduction on the school fee for the academic year.

General Scholarship Guidelines:

  • Students who have won in academic competitions must provide verifiable documentation of their achievements to the school administration
  • Scholarships will be awarded based on the student’s performance in the previous academic year.
  • The scholarship is applicable for one academic year
  • Students must maintain good academic standing and pass the grade level requirements and exhibit exemplary behaviour while receiving the Brilliance Scholarship.

Application Process:

  • Interested students should submit their scholarship applications along with supporting documentation to the school’s scholarship committee latest by 15 May of the current academic year.
  • The scholarship committee will review all applications and make final decisions on scholarship awards based on the eligibility criteria outlined above.
  • Decisions made by the scholarship committee are final and non-negotiable. No appeals or disputes will be entertained, and the committee’s judgments regarding scholarship awards are considered conclusive.
  • Awarded students will be notified in writing of their scholarship status latest by 1 June, and the scholarship amount will be applied to their school fees for the following academic year.

Revisions and Modifications to the policy : 

The school reserves the right to add, modify, or update criteria for the Brilliance Scholarship as necessary to ensure fairness and alignment with the school’s goals and values.

The school may also consider other notable academic achievements or competitions not covered by the existing criteria for scholarship eligibility.

Academic Year Consideration

The academic year during which the preliminary rounds of academic competitions occurred will be considered as the applicable academic year for scholarship purposes, even if the final rounds take place in the subsequent academic year.

Multiple Awards / Scholarships

This scholarship discount cannot be combined with any other discounts offered by the school, except for the sibling discount and the full annual fee payment discount. In the event that a student receives multiple scholarship awards, the scholarship with the higher monetary value will be applied.

This Brilliance Scholarship Policy is effective from October 2023 and will be reviewed periodically to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in recognizing and rewarding exceptional academic achievements among our students
