Eagle Award

The Eagle Awards Scholarship is established to recognize and support students in Grade 6 to 12 who embody the core values of our school – Academic Excellence and Building Character. This scholarship program aims to encourage and reward students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their studies, personal growth, and the school community.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Eagle Awards Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  1. Grade Level : Applicants must be enrolled in Grade 6 to 12 at our school.
  2. Residence Requirement : The student must have completed at least two full academic years of residence at Sekolah Lentera Kasih.
  3. Academic Excellence : Applicants should maintain a minimum grade of 75 in all subjects for 2 consecutive academic years.
  4. Character and Leadership : Applicants must exhibit outstanding character, leadership qualities, and involvement in school and community activities.
  5. Application : Applicants must submit a complete scholarship application along with supporting documents as per the application guidelines.

Selection Process :

The selection of Eagle Awards Scholarship recipients will be a thorough and competitive process. The scholarship committee will evaluate each application based on the following criteria:

    1. Academic Performance: The applicant’s academic achievements and transcripts will be reviewed to ensure they meet the minimum GPA requirement.
    2. Character and Leadership: The personal statement and letters of recommendation will be assessed to gauge the applicant’s character, leadership abilities, and their contributions to the school and community.
    3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with the scholarship committee to further assess their suitability for the scholarship.

Number of Awards :

Each year, a maximum of three (3) students will be selected as recipients of the Eagle Awards Scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits : 

Successful Eagle Awards Scholarship recipients will receive a 30% discount on the following academic year’s school fees. This discount will be applied directly to the recipient’s tuition fees.

In the event that the recipient of the Eagle Award is in their final year of school (Grade 12 only), the school will convert the 30% scholarship into its equivalent monetary value.

Dispute Resolution :

Any disputes or concerns regarding the Eagle Awards Scholarship selection process will be resolved by the school’s administration in consultation with the scholarship committee.

Notification :

Successful applicants will be notified in writing of the scholarship committee’s decision by 1 June.

Confidentiality :

All scholarship applications and related materials will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will only be reviewed by authorized personnel.
This Eagle Awards Scholarship Policy serves as a guideline for the fair and transparent selection of deserving students who exemplify our school’s motto of Academic Excellence and Building Character. We are committed to supporting our students in their educational journey and personal development.

Revisions and Modifications to the policy :

The school reserves the right to add, modify, or update criteria for the Eagle Award Scholarship as necessary to ensure fairness and alignment with the school’s goals and values.
The school may also consider other notable academic achievements or competitions not covered by the existing criteria for scholarship eligibility.

Additional Conditions :

Multiple Awards / Scholarships

This scholarship discount cannot be combined with any other discounts offered by the school, except for the sibling discount and the full annual fee payment
discount. In the event that a student receives multiple scholarship awards, the scholarship with the higher monetary value will be applied.

This Eagle Award Scholarship is effective from October 2023 and will be reviewed periodically to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in recognizing and rewarding exceptional academic achievements among our students.
