Baksos: SLK & LOLLYPOP DONATION to REFUGEE CAMP of Mt. AGUNG, 12th Dec 2017

To spread the spirit of Christmas to our brothers and sisters who were affected by the volcanic eruption on December 12, 2017, several teachers and staff of SLK and Lollypop Preschool went to visit one of the evacuation camps in Kerangasem. They gave out basic commodities to the people who were affected by the eruption of Mt. Agung. During the said visit, the teachers have prepared a short activity to lift up the spirit of the children. Everybody enjoyed the said acitivity as well as the “nasi bungkus‘ for lunch. This was followed by a quick but meaningful sharing time with the SLK and LLP team.

More than 300 people including babies and elderlies where evacuated in that area. Until now, they have no assurance as to when will they be able to go back to their homes.

A very special thank you to our parents and PSG members for their generosity and participation.

As what Thomas S. Monson has said, “The spirit of Christmas is the spirit of love and of generosity and of goodness. It illuminates the picture window of the soul, and we look out upon the world’s busy life and become more interested in people than in things.”
